The March on Washington was a pivotal moment in history that was brought to life in the 21st century through the magic of VR by TIME magazine. American Family Insurance was a proud sponsor of the event and celebrated the launch with a day of festivities and activities designed to inspire the youth to realize their dreams and improve the lives of those around them. The DuSable Museum of African American History was transformed to host an immersive educational experience to support and amplify the famous words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
We were focused on bringing in notable activists in the area to share their stories, but also on inviting students from schools in the area to experience the moment and to hear from those who played a key role during the Civil Rights Movement. Actors were hired to portray the people of the past to create the right atmosphere to march, speak up, and dream bigger.
